Teaching with Tech's apps' Privacy Policy


Teaching with Technology values visitors and users of its applications and website. We are fully committed to protecting personal information.  This policy describes what information is collected, how it is collected, and how any such information is used so that you, the user, may make informed choices on how you use your data with us.

It is strongly advised you read the policy before accessing any services.

Section 1 - Please Read Policy

This Teaching with Technology Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how we (Teaching with Technology) collect information of users and visitors of Teaching with Technology's applications, website (including https://www.teachingwtech.com and any and all subdomains, the "Website"), and related services (collectively, "Services").

Read the policy carefully.  If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you must immediately leave this website, application, and other Services offered by Teaching with Technology.  Questions regarding this Privacy Policy may be directed to the Contact Form. Please be aware, the Contact Form collects personal information in order for Teaching with Technology to respond to your inquiry. 

Section 2 - What information is collected?

Teaching with Technology does not collect any personal user information with our applications (including all add-ons), however, personal information is collected through our Contact Form.

We do collect and store information you provide through our Contact Form.  We collect the name and email address (collectively "Personal Data") you provide, a timestamp of the submission, and the description of any issue or other information you provide.  We collect "Personal Data" and non-personal data in order to determine how, if necessary, we should respond to you.  We reserve the right to delete any personal data entered into the form we have resolved or believe are not needed for business purposes.

Section 3 - Communication with users/visitors

Teaching with Technology may contact you in response to your Contact Form submission, troubleshooting app experiences, to send updates about products and services, or otherwise necessary as required by the agreement you have with us. 

Section 4 - Privacy policy updates

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes and clarification will take effect immediately upon posting on the website.  It is advised you review our Privacy Policy frequently.

Section 5 - Data collection using our Google Chrome Store Apps

When using apps developed and offered by Teaching with Technology for the Google Chrome Store and within the G Suite applications, there is no tracking of user data or activity and no clickbait advertising. 

Section 6 - Web Donations


Subscribers to the 3rd party service, Coil, which has no affiliation to Teaching with Technology, may receive notification that their Coil subscription is actively donating.  Those who do not participate in Coil or do not have Coil activated may see a notification that Coil is not currently donating.  We cannot see or track who is donating via Coil.  We are not responsible for any data collected by Coil or any third party.  Teaching with Technology's use of Coil to point micro-donations to Interledger addresses is up to our discretion and may change without notice.

Google Form Quizzes - Find Max Score - Apps Script

If you have ever created a quiz for mastery, you may have discovered you can have students take the quiz as many times as they want.  As an educator, you can use the number of retakes a evidence of growth or opportunities to provide overall performance gains while also providing short penalties to discourage frequent and rapid retakes.  For example, students can take the quiz as many times as they wish, but for each time they take the quiz, the score is reduced by 2.5%. If you have this information in a spreadsheet, you are golden.
